What to pack for a summer getaway

For most men, packing isn’t easy and is often a case of taking too much or too little. This guide will help you ensure that you take the essentials for a summer holiday and look good on the beach, at the bar, or on the boardwalk!

Sunglasses

This is your number-one item. The last thing you want to do is spend your holiday squinting into the sun, so invest in a decent pair of stylish sunglasses or two if you don’t already have any, and pack them first.

Plain T-shirts

Whichever popular holiday spot you choose to visit, make sure you pack a few plain T-shirts. Plain Ts in neutral colour like black, grey or white are incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down as needed.

Chino shorts

Comfy, versatile and lightweight, Chino shorts are a true summer essential. They don’t take up much space in your luggage, and if you shop somewhere like ejmenswear, you’ll find them in a range of different colours designed to suit all tastes and preferences.

Plain or printed shirt

Easy slip-on sandals, sliders or flip flops are crucial summer holiday footwear. You can easily pack a pair or two without them taking up much space, and you’ll find them very useful simply for walking to the beach or pool, or if the ground gets scorching hot.

A warm sweater

It may be a summer holiday, but it can still get chilly when the sun goes down. Make sure you pack a warm sweatshirt or hooded zip-up top that you can easily slip on when the temperature drops a little.
